Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will report to the Lead Business Analyst and will be supporting the successful execution of existing and new subscription data & information, events and related membership products. You will also liaise between business stakeholders and IT teams in analysing, defining and documenting business requirements for data and analytics projects and change initiatives that support and contribute to the company’s growth.

Roles and responsibilities:

• To analyse, document and propose solutions for business areas and to prepare functional specifications.
• Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project and translating these into functional specifications.
• Analyse current business processes and data flows to identify inefficiencies or gaps and how these could be overcome with available technologies.
• To provide the link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding software functionality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Manage client calls, requirement gathering and analysing project requirements.
• Responsible for documenting client’s requirements as Software Requirement Specification and for sign-off by the client.
• Interact with the software engineering team to develop the software solution the client requires.
• Will interact with business stakeholders understand their business processes.
• Support engineering and data analytics teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions. Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are accurately interpreted.
• Will be responsible for delivery of the solution in training and implementation at client premises.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role as part of a transformation project or as a member of an IT solution delivery team.
• Experience working on complex analysis of datasets and data validation.
• Experience in Data Mapping & Data Modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL for Business analysis, querying, and manipulation.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of (SDLC) methodologies (Agile methodology experience preferable).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset, capable of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
