As a Chief Happiness Officer, you will be part of the People & Culture Team! You will lead our People Operations and Engineer Happiness initiatives. Your role involves crafting, implementing and upholding policies and processes that resonate with our values. You'll manage multiple engineering teams, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction. Additionally, you'll drive efforts to enhance the effectiveness and consistency of our People function. This entails establishing and upholding organizational policies, while also offering strategic counsel to senior leadership.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Engineering Managers and business leaders to align people strategy with business goals and organizational growth.
- Act as the primary People & Culture partner for multiple engineering teams, owning the end-to-end employee lifecycle from hiring support to offboarding.
- Build and strengthen a high-performance, inclusive and people-first culture through employee engagement, recognition, wellness and culture initiatives.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee development, feedback conversations, conflict resolution and people leadership best practices.
- Lead quarterly performance review cycles, probation reviews, promotions, PIPs, rewards & recognition and career development initiatives.
- Independently manage and resolve complex employee relations matters with empathy, fairness and business alignment.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning and change management initiatives across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Recruitment, Finance, IT and Operations to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Use HR data and people analytics to identify trends, provide actionable insights and recommend people-focused improvements to leadership.
- Continuously enhance HR policies, processes and employee experience by benchmarking industry best practices and building scalable people programs.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proven HR personnel with 5-8 years of overall experience
- Strong understanding of the complete employee lifecycle, HR operations, performance management, employee engagement and talent management.
- Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and supporting engineering or technology teams across global geographies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, influencing and employee relations skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to leverage HR data and people analytics for decision-making.
- Outstanding verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Keka, SAP, GreyTip, or similar systems.
- Exceptional leadership, time management, organizational and change management capabilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in HR is a huge advantage
- In-depth knowledge of HR Policies and Processes and strong reporting knowledge is a huge plus
- Excellent presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skill
- Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with cross-functional teams and working with an international team is an added advantage
- Passion for mentoring and managing a team toward excellence
