The CRO will assume a strategic role within the organisation and will be responsible for all revenue-generating operations across Sales, Marketing and Product.
Objectives of this Role
- Partner with other members of the executive team to help build and execute the corporate strategic plan
- Drive better integration between sales, marketing, and partner success to ensure departments are aligned and work together to create the best possible Partner experience.
- Planning and implementation of the annual sales plan along with the sales HOD
- Preparation of sales strategies and their implementation in order to increase revenue
- Lead global revenue generation efforts across multiple regions, channels and segments. Define and execute global sales strategy, establish strategic and tactical plans required to identify, qualify and win new sales opportunities
- Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the organisation’s revenue-generating departments
- Review and execute market expansion plans (including territories and diversification of our offering), market analysis and viability along with pricing strategy
- Develop and implement a channel sales strategy
- Overall responsibility for KPIs and goal creation and allocation for the sales and marketing function along with the distribution of the sales and marketing budget to department heads
- Build commission plan encompassing potentially multi-year earn-out, across sales and partner success
- Support the Sales Director in scaling and develop an A-team of sales talent at all levels to build on the existing sales footprint: ensuring the people and processes are in place to deliver on ambitious growth targets
- Provide mentorship and guidance to managers and identify knowledge gaps and training needs within the sales teams
- Help maximise reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way
- Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Monitor the marketplace and analyse opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.
- Lead global revenue generation efforts across multiple regions, channels and segments. Define and execute global sales strategy, establish strategic and tactical plans required to identify, qualify and win new sales opportunities
- Preparation of analysis, reports, sales forecasts.
- Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle
- Collaborate with finance, product management, sales and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals
- Identify and resolve issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions
- Participate in contract negotiations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 12+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth
- Proven track record of bringing a positive direct impact on revenue and margins through new product development, marketing, sales, branding, and partnerships (direct and channel)
- Individual quota carrier with a successful track record of exceeding targets
- Proven experience developing and executing business strategy
- Significant general management and P&L experience
- Ability to craft and execute a business strategy
- History of decision-making based on business metrics ( data orientated)
- Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
- Previous use of HubSpot and Apollo is advantageous
- A little black book of contacts is also great ;-)
