Desktop Support Engineer

As an established Fintech setting up operations in Bangalore, we are seeking creative and proactive engineers to help us define the future of our technology. You will be an actor in our mission to turn Our Partner's database into an end-to-end solution for investors and fund managers.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, we need you to provide local Desktop support and Admin to the Our Partner Engineering Team based in the Bangalore office, and remote support to other Sales team members on the same time zone. Timely support is required as the Developers work in 2-week Agile Development sprints with a high velocity. The sales team in Dubai will require remote support due to time zone.

Key Requirements for this Role

• Experience of maintaining user endpoints both Windows (primarily) and Mac.
• Windows administration: PCs – build, maintain, secure & backup and Office365 administration
• Experience in Active Directory management
• Working knowledge of antivirus/malware detection and prevention and experience in Networking Administration (TCP/IP, router, Wifi) 
• Understands structured cabling and can competently provision cabling to user endpoints
• An understanding of video conferencing software and it’s important for collaboration.
• Experience of using Service Desk systems to manage workflow (JIRA preferred)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all user endpoint hardware, software, and the Windows Server operating systems.
• Administering user accounts and permission of the local staff and respond to local system management alerts.
• Provide support and maintenance of the network and administration of user needs.
• Troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic, and liaise with local infrastructure providers to security fixes.
• Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of local hardware.

Special Requirements for the Role

• Degree or equivalent in computing science or analytical or numerate discipline.
• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies 
• Understanding and experience of working to quality standards.
• Must be highly organised, able to follow a process and able to organise data and work processes.
• able to create effective working relationships with the local team and IT suppliers; and Our Partner counterparts.
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with the cross teams, with a strong command of English both written and spoken.
