Currently, we are  located in New York and Dallas in the US, London and Birmingham in the UK. Our team employs more than 200 professionals, with the business monitoring over 3,000 private market funds and 40,000+ holdings. As an established Fintech setting up operations in Bangalore, we are seeking creative and proactive engineers to help us define the future of our technology. 

As a FAIR Associate within the FAIR team, you will be part of a high impact team focused on delivering exceptional analytical reports. Reporting into a FAIR Senior Associate you will be responsible for examining financial data and providing our clients insight into their management fee, expense, and carried interest structures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Extraction of key data points from financial statements, capital account statements, ILPA templates, and financial schedules.
• Create detailed reports over management fees, partnership expenses, and carried interest for a variety of alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, private debt, and real assets.
• Apply consistent methodologies around data extraction, fee recalculation, and report creation.
• Identify inconsistencies or large variances and escalate/work with senior team members for resolution.
• Detailed review of reports created by senior analysts/ analysts for adherence to our methodology, accurate calculations, formatting, and commentary.
• Consult with managers to resolve variances and seek help when methodologies are unclear
• Provide constructive feedback to FAIR Senior Analysts/Analysts on their output.
• Train new staff, provide support through their learning curve and monitor performance 
• Provide intensified coaching and required support for underperforming staff.
• Collaborate with FAIR Senior Associates and VP of Operations to create career advancement opportunities for junior staff.

Key requirements for this role:

• Overall 4.5+ years of experience in Financial industry with minimum 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, investment management, external audit, or another private equity-adjacent role, with around 2 years of team management experience.
• Excellent understanding of financial statements including notes to financial statements, capital account statements, cash flow notices, ILPA templates, and other information regularly published by General Partners.
• General understanding of limited partnership agreements, private equity fund structures, and associated fees.
• Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing reports, Detailed-orientated, analytical and client centric approach, demonstrate ownership, self-motivated to meet KPIs and delivers quality output.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills required and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CA, CPA, CFA, CAIA, ACCA, or other accounting/ finance certification(s) preferred.
