Lead Backend Developer

As an established Fintech setting up operations in Bangalore, we are seeking creative and proactive engineers to help us define the future of our technology. You will be an actor in our mission to turn Preqin's database into an end-to-end solution for investors and fund managers.

The Lead Backend Developer will be a pivotal role in our "BAU" Scrum team, ensuring the long term stability, quality and efficiency across our full application suite. This includes our flagship product Preqin Pro, as well as numerous APIs, mobile, internal tooling and systems. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Your debugging skills should be exceptional, as will your ability to identify and fix the root cause of common issues.
• Deep understanding of client-server architecture and web technologies
• Building, executing and documenting a Secure Software Development Lifecycle
• Establish processes and best practices around development standards.
• Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback.
• Apply technical expertise to challenging architecture and design problems.

Key Requirements for this Role:

• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience building enterprise-grade web application in an AGILE environment, using C# / .NET Core 2.0
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Extensive experience building Web APIs.
• Able to work across teams to tackle complex issues. 
• Works with engineers to coach them on finding and fixing security bugs
• Experience working with SQL Server, MongoDB and ElasticSearch is an added advantage.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical design and technical specifications.
• A proponent of continuous integration, unit testing and automation
• Good to have: knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a good understanding of Web Standards, EventStore, OWASP security principles and data encryption/security.
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members, with a strong command of English both written and spoken.
