Lead Frontend Developer

As a Lead Frontend Developer, you will design and develop modern, scalable Angular applications that enable data-driven insights across engineering teams. You will contribute to frontend architecture, uphold coding standards, and ensure high-quality user experiences. Working in close collaboration with UX, backend, and product stakeholders, you will build maintainable solutions aligned with architectural and agile principles.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Own and drive frontend architecture for scalable, modular, and high-performing Angular applications.
• Define and enforce frontend standards, design patterns, coding guidelines and engineering best practices.
• Lead architectural and migrational decisions, including component libraries, micro-frontend strategies, and modernisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with backend and product stakeholders to define API contracts and ensure seamless integrations.
• Drive performance optimisation, accessibility (WCAG compliance), security standards, and automated testing strategies.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for reliable, scalable deployments.
• Mentor and coach frontend engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering engineering excellence.
• Act as a key contributor to agile ceremonies and organisational continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of frontend development experience, with deep expertise in Angular (latest versions) and migrations.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives like building and deploying coding standards and architectural decisions.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
• Proven experience designing scalable frontend architectures and component-based systems.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Hands-on experience with any unit testing frameworks and test automation strategies.
• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).
• Experience working with AWS.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
