Lead Fullstack Developer

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the day to day management of various projects, line managing a team of fantastic developers and collaborating with various teams in the business to drive development at Splyt forward.  

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible to lead and helping build a new development team in Bangalore.
• Manage ongoing projects and new projects as they appear; plan sprints, manage deadlines with the team and communicate with various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, QA, Product and Design.
• Fully understand requirements from our partner network and shareholders and deliver projects to a high standard. 
• Actively participate in various stakeholder meetings related to projects and deliverables. 
• Take responsibility for the personal and professional development of various team members, including 1:1s, setting goals and development plans etc. 
• Contribute to the overall technology function in regards to infrastructure, shared knowledge and continuous improvements.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• 7+ years of robust technical expertise in React, Node.js and Typescript. 
• Experience with hybrid app development or native iOS & Android experience is a plus
• Should have experience in integration patterns, such as RESTFul API consumption and development
• Should have experience in NoSQL Databases (preferably MongoDB)
• Experience building Responsive websites for web, tablet and mobile devices
• Experience working with cloud environments will be an added advantage - preferably Google cloud services.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to solve them.
• Understanding of how to leverage client-side caching for UI performance gains. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies and can articulate a point of view on technologies
• Knowledge of web-related technologies and protocols
• Excellent people management skills, proven experience lifting up individuals and teams 
• Strong experience in managing and delivering projects with the end-user in mind. 
• Should have strong communication, confident in liaising with the immediate team and beyond.
