As a Lead QA Automation, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the quality assurance personnel as well as being hands-on in testing and methodical problem solving regarding Our Partner’s products. Along with key members of the quality assurance department, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst provides strategic leadership for the direction of Our Partner’s software testing roadmap. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the creation of quality assurance measures across the business, developing and enhancing both manual and automated test frameworks.
• Actively take part in the discovery and design phases of new software/product feature development and promote continuous testing in an attempt to guarantee an error free final product.
• Ensure that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications and requirements of the software/products.
• Regularly execute software/product tests and record the results during release cycles. Also review functional and design specifications in order to ensure that there is a full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Develop documentation and maintain functional test cases as well as all other test assets, for example, data validation scripts and test data.
• Execute analytical responsibilities conducting regular analysis of software/product requirements and produce test estimations.
• Work in collaboration with Software/product developers in driving issue resolution ensuring that there is always a high quality and timely release of software/products into market.
• Maintain knowledge of the industry best practices, introducing the most suitable practices to the business. 

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• In-depth understanding of SDLC and STLC, development, and test engineering processes and methodologies.
• Good programming skills in any language such as JAVA / C# / Python, etc.
• Knowledge of ISO8583 protocol transaction types (Pre-authorization, Top-up, Completion) is appreciated.
• Must have experience in the payment industry.
• Ability to develop a framework from scratch and knowledge of multiple frameworks.
• Experience with non-functional testing like performance and security will be an added advantage.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data.
• Experience working on API Testing using any API testing tool (preferably automation).
• Experience using version control repositories and source code management products such as GitHub, TFS, etc., and other tools like Jira, SharePoint, Wiki and Jenkins etc. will be an added advantage.
• Solid test design skills, problem-solving skills, test case writing, automation and analysis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• 5+ years​ experience in direct QA / Software Testing.
• At least 2 years of experience in the payment industry (previous organisation).
• Ability to provide direction and guidance to lead a small team.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Take ownership of tasks & projects to deliver the highest quality test service.
• Ability to help other team members to deliver to a high-quality standard.
• Estimation and scheduling experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of QA standards, processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Proven experience in building/implementing automated test processes from scratch.
