Data Operations Manager

The Data Operations Manager is responsible for delivery, management and development of the data operations of Preqin’s Company Data offering. Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data to Preqin clients, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the operation while working closely with Preqin’s global Research Manager (Company Data) to ensure delivery of business objectives.

The Data Operations team strives to ensure that Preqin’s coverage of the alternative assets industry is accurate, up to date and comprehensive. The team consists of specialists in the research, analysis and curation of a heterogeneity of different data sources to maximize our knowledge offering to Preqin clients. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day operations of Preqin’s data operations team in Bangalore. 
• Ensure data quality levels in public data meet client needs and report on operations, team and individual KPIs. 
• Drive continual improvements in targets, including developing innovative ways to measure performance. 
• Manage project backlog of data initiatives to meet delivery objectives defined by business strategy. 
• Communicate risks and dependencies to the global data operations team that could impact objectives. 
• Coach data operation leads to develop key skills and attributes the enable team objectives. 
• Conduct impact analysis of existing processes and formulate proposals for change. 
• Working closely with the Head of Data Operations and a global team of SMEs to implement change programs that continually improve the operations. 
• Manage end-to-end relationships with ’outsourced’ data suppliers: setting, measuring, and evaluating supplier performance in order to maximize the value they deliver to us. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Minimum of 7 years overall experience and 4 years relevant experience managing >50 direct headcounts. 
• Knowledge of alternative assets would be ideal or, at minimum, financial markets, and data services. 
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects at any one time. 
• Business fluency in English is required. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Basic Microsoft Office 365. 
• Education level – Bachelors’ Degree minimum. University courses conducted in English preferred.
