QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will support the growing delivery of IT development projects across the Our Partner business streams. You will work within an Agile environment, working closely with stakeholders whilst liaising closely with system developers and users. You will also be focused on the building of an automated test suite for the services in the scope of the platform teams, with the main objective of covering the different flows that exist in several backend services. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and execute manual and automated tests, regression tests, scalability & performance testing.
• Test all system components: UI, web services and functional backend logic/database.
• Adapt to new technologies, including cloud services and knowledge using scripting languages.
• Work with IT Development, QA teams and delivery management to effectively automate Our Partner processes.
• Track testing progress and provide analysis and metrics on testing status.
• Creating and maintaining build pipeline configurations/templates to support CI/CD processes using any tools.
• Using and maintaining git repositories and also supporting release management activities.
• Should be able to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Automation Test engineer.
• Hands-on experience in automated test creation using Cypress, SpecFlow and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in API testing, Postman, SQL, and familiarity with mock technologies.
• Must have experience in REST, TCP flows and CI/CD integration using GitHub. 
• Should have a Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Should have experience working with Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence, and X-Ray for project management and testing.
• Should have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Knowledge of the payment industry and payment flows is preferred.
• Familiarity with performance, security, and load testing methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, team player, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
