Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a meticulous, organised and confident Business Analyst with excellent communication skills. You’ll need a keen eye for the detail and the big picture.

As a Business Analyst, you will be the conduit between the Engineering team and various other teams right across the business, bridging the gap between product owners and engineers. You will work with the product owners to extract their precise requirements and translate these into clear and concise user stories. You will work with many employees across the business at all levels, and especially within the Engineering team where this role sits, with you being at the heart of one or more scrum teams. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Creation of high-quality user stories/requirements
• Organization and management of epics, user stories/requirements/tasks within a project
• Assisting or hosting Agile meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and sprint demos
• Working with the business and the Engineering team to prioritize which stories to work on whilst considering dependencies and prerequisites
• Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion

Key Requirements for this Role:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in an AGILE environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
• Hands-on the practical use of techniques for planning and monitoring projects
• Knowledge and experience working with Jira or similar tools
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to work with product owners and engineers with regards to timelines and scope clarity
• Embracing and managing change
• Knowledge of alternative assets is a bonus but not essential
