Senior Data Engineer

Our Partner is a technology-led financial services firm that supports private equity investors. Our Partner’s Engineering team drives our technology development and delivers cutting edge and innovative solutions to both our clients and internal teams. 

As an established Fintech setting up operations in Bangalore, we are seeking creative and proactive engineers to help us define the future of our technology. 

The Data Engineer you will be responsible to develop and support the processes using Microsoft Stack and cloud technologies. Works closely with different teams and businesses to understand their problems and operational needs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build scalable and supportable data platforms and support the fast-growing data within the business
• Solid understanding of data visualization tools (Power BI)
• Uses Azure Data Factory / Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and associated SQL tools to build, test, deploy and support a range of ETL processes.
• Maintains required documents to support maintenance and knowledge building.
• Encourage service-oriented design patterns and modular development of all our solutions.

Key Requirements for this Role:

• 4+ years of experience in writing advanced SQL queries, T-SQL Procedures and Performance tuning. 
• Should have experience in Microsoft SSIS, Data warehouse Dimensional Model, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL/Synapse, Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines).
• Sound Knowledge of PowerShell, Source Control, JSON and deployment automation.
• Data Ingestion from Amazon S3, SFTP, REST API, data Templates, and Event streaming triggers, also data ingestion/data pull from external Customer infrastructure (on-premise).
• Should have worked in Agile working practices like Scrum/Kanban, 
• Hands-on experience in C# in .NET and XML Scripting is a plus. 
• Deployment orchestration and configuration management tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Experienced in the design and delivery of enterprise-level Highly Available solutions.
• Experience in designing and developing ETL data pipelines (ADF); Azure Synapse. 
• Experience with eFront FIA software would be a distinct advantage. 
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members, with strong English communication both written and spoken.
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems is a major plus.
