Senior Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer you will work on ongoing data warehouse maintenance and development projects. We are looking for an individual with excellent problem solving skills to join an energetic team who can handle the support and enhancements for a large number of internal customers. The candidate should ideally have 2+ years of experience developing data warehouse for corporate houses using SQL BI Stack.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will design and Build an Industry standard ETL using SSIS, for Data Warehousing. (SSIS).
• Involved in Debugging, Monitoring and Maintenance of existing BI solutions (SSIS, SSRS,SSAS, SQL Server)  SQL Server 2019.
• Solid experience in assessing quality and suitability of source data.
• Working experience in writing relational (SQL) and multidimensional (MDX/ DAX) queries (SSAS).
• Maintains required documents to support maintenance and knowledge building.
• Experience in calling API from SSIS to pull data from internal or external systems.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Experience in developing and following policies and procedures relating to data and quality improvement.
• Familiarity with the concepts of Data Governance, Data Quality or Master Data Management is an advantage.
• Experience in solving data analytics problems and effectively communicating results and methodologies.
• Strong ability to design, build and manage data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata and workload management.
• Should have experience in object-oriented/object function scripting language Python. 
• Experience with relational MS SQL and NoSQL databases, Postgre, DynamoDB preferred.
• Experience in Data Warehouse tool Redshift is nice to have
• Exposure to large databases, BI applications (Metabase), data quality and performance tuning
• Good to have experience in big data tools like Hadoop/Spark/Kafka. 
• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured datasets.
• Solid project management skills coordinating multiple initiatives in parallel. Experience of Agile Scrum a distinct advantage
• Strong experience in working with and optimizing existing ETL processes and data integration and data preparation flows and helping to move them in production.
