Senior Data Operations Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• You will be the key person to ensure that all data processed through the Our Partner VATConnect platform is processed correctly.
• Identifying data quality issues and working with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Identifying areas for improvement in current processes
• Liaison with engineering teams on new products/services or enhancements to existing services to ensure that data quality issues can be quickly identified
• Report on agreed KPIs to ensure that data operations comply with agreed quality standards
• Define and build data health dashboards to give visibility to stakeholders.
• Knowledge and experience in query optimisation, SQL profiler and related monitoring tools are good to have
• Develop automated data quality alerts on day-to-day operations, keep all stakeholders at risk of failure.
• Communicate on all issues related to data quality in time and follow through on the resolution.

Skills and Competencies

• 5 years or more experience in data operations in a fast-paced work environment with a strong analytical capability.
• Should have experience working in Microsoft Excel and Macros.
• Experience dealing with complex data relationships across multiple platforms
• Project management with strong experience in developing visually compelling interactive dashboards.
• Hands-on SQL skills in writing complex SQL queries to validate data and respond quickly
• Working knowledge in Jira is a mandate
• Experience with any APM tools will be considered a plus.
• Identify potential data quality issues proactively and carry out checks
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
