Our Partner is continuing its multi-year transformation into a more data-driven organisation, with growing investment in data platforms, analytics, AI and governance capabilities. As part of this journey, we are looking for a Senior Data Quality Analyst to join our Data & AI Governance team.
This is a hands-on position focused on improving the quality, trust and accountability of data across the organisation. You will work at the intersection of data quality management, governance, and stakeholder engagement, helping to identify critical data issues, define and monitor quality rules, triage incidents, investigate root causes, and partner with data owners and data stewards to drive sustainable improvement.
This role reports to the Data Quality and Enablement Lead and will work closely with teams across Data & Analytics, IT, Customer, Commercial, Finance, Strategy and operational business functions.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements for data quality monitoring use cases.
- Support triage, prioritisation and remediation of data quality incidents.
- Support maintenance and adoption of the enterprise data catalogue.
- Identify the key internal stakeholder groups and build successful working relationships to ensure a collaborative approach to triaging, prioritising and fixing data quality incidents.
- Manage internal communications, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed and consulted as appropriate on items of relevance through the lifecycle of data quality initiatives.
- Understanding the existing databases and data sources across all relevant functional areas, and scoping solutions to fix data quality issues
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive requirements documentation for data quality use cases and data quality reports for approval by data owners and stewards.
- Working closely with the Agile Technology teams (product owners, data engineers and product managers) to ensure successful delivery.
- Leading, contributing and collaborating on ways to improve ways of working. Identifying gaps across processes or artefacts and escalating for progression, discussion, and development.
- Developing Data and AI governance standard operating procedures for data quality and data cataloguing.
- Supporting data governance framework through audit, risk and compliance requests.
- Measuring data quality KPIs and driving business value
- Assisting with the implementation of policies and standards across Our Partner.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and database technologies, with the ability to query and analyse data sets.
- Prior knowledge of data governance programmes and/or data quality improvement programmes is essential
- Prior knowledge of Data Observability / Data Quality Tools (Monte Carlo, Soda, Informatica, etc) is essential
- Prior knowledge of Data Catalogues (e.g. Atlan, Collibra, Purview, Databricks Unity) is essential
- Prior experience in the following tools, including Power BI, Atlan, Monte Carlo, Snowflake, Databricks
- Advanced level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite – Including Excel, Project, Visio, Word & PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
- Familiarity with AI prompt optimisation techniques is an advantage.
- Experience in tracking developments in Confluence/JIRA is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience of agile delivery is desirable
- Prior experience driving process improvements in finance, customer-facing, or operational environments is desirable
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to present facts clearly and objectively.
- Prior experience facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and commitment to producing high-quality output to tight deadlines.
