Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will further enhance our lifestyle services marketplace by testing our booking frontend, SDK and integration of new providers and demand partners across multiple verticals.  You can expect to test across some of our most significant and exciting projects. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Test Leads to coordinate, implement and execute software testing of the systems and solutions used by Splyt.
• Create detailed test cases, execute manual and automated tests, document results and manage defects.
• Develop and execute test plans based on User Stories/requirements.
• Contribute to the implementation and monitor use of test automation and testing best practices.
• Work with the core team with influence on design, architecture, development and business decisions.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Strong experience in quality management systems and processes in an agile environment.
• Should have experience in automation testing tool Selenium/Webdriver IO
• Strong knowledge in software QA methodologies, processes and tools
• Good understanding of the OOPS concept. 
• Knowledge and experience in technical and functional aspects of web applications testing
• Should have knowledge in Functional and Regression testing
• Ability to establish processes and best practices around QA standards.
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter) and/or security testing is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, documenting and reporting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• 4+ years of experience as a quality assurance engineer.
• Basic programming language knowledge and understanding of SDLC processes, QA methodologies and tools. 
• Must have strong experience in web testing. 
• Should have a good knowledge and working experience in testing REST APIs.
• Ability to write good quality test plans, test cases and bugs.
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
