Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities include participating in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems. If you’re equally happy to roll up your sleeves to write code and review other team members’ work, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll use your expertise in the C#/.NET framework to help us deploy high-quality applications.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the requirements gathering process to help ensure requirements contain enough information and fact to support design, development and implementation
• Oversee the design and development of our core applications using service-oriented architecture exposing APIs for internal and external clients
• Design and build advanced software solutions that scale and meet business requirements.
• Implement architecture and design patterns to help ensure that systems scale.
• Review product requirements to give development estimates and product feedback. 
• Apply technical expertise to challenging architecture and design problems.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Experience of enterprise-grade web application development using C# / .NET and Blazor framework.
• Experience building service-oriented architecture, web services, MVC, and Web APIs.
• Experience with OData and Entity Framework is required.
• Experience with software design patterns and SOLID principles 
• Should have experience in SQL and database design.
• Experience in working with collaboration tools, especially with TFS or similar
• Experience in TDD/BDD and with BizTalk/Azure App Service Hybrid Connections is a major plus.
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members.
• Experience with any cloud is a plus, preferably MS Azure (Service Bus, Containers, Azure DevOps).
• Proponent of continuous integration, unit testing and automation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• 5+ years​ of experience in software development.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems is a major plus.
• Having prior financial services experience is highly beneficial.
• Mandatory experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM certification a major plus).
