Senior Tableau Engineer

As a Tableau Engineer, you will be responsible for building out the next generation of systems using the latest languages. The successful applicant will join a group of functionally aligned development teams reporting to the Enterprise Chief Data Officer, working in a shared codebase to build best-in-class cloud-native solutions. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Tableau deployment & data model and dashboard designing. 
• Setting up new instances of Tableau Cloud working with network teams to connect to multi-cloud environments.
• Managing Identity Access Management, Permissions and Policies (and syncing with Snowflake).
• Data modelling and integration from various data sources into a Tableau data model.
• Working directly with end users to iteratively build dashboards, metrics, and indicators, and apply good practice Tableau User  Experience, navigation, and aesthetic design. 
• Creating Artefacts pertaining to solution sustainability – documentation, support and maintenance guidance.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in financial services Architecture, platforms and data flows (Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Risk, Treasury) and in FS industry organisations.
• 5+ years of commercial experience in data management disciplines including data integration, modelling, data searching, data migration, data optimisation, data quality and architecture & design.
• 3+ years of strong experience in Tableau with Snowflake (Snowflake tables/schema design and development, Snowpipe and Access Control). 
• Experience to effectively use AWS Databases and related ETL tools (RDS) is highly desirable.
• Experience in SQL and data analysis is highly desirable (SQL, MySQL). 
• Experience in Database management tools such as Erwin, Lucid, and DbSchema is a plus.
• Comfortable with handling large volumes of data.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented development, cyber security, design patterns and core computer science concepts.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, are crucial.
