Senior Test Analyst

As a Senior Test Analyst, you are responsible for testing software and systems, some of which are responsible for processing billions of pounds worth of transactions per year, used both internally and externally, by over 200 staff, 800 clients and 5 million customers. As you will be working on multiple projects concurrently you will also be responsible for providing input to the Quality Assurance Team and proactively recommend changes in policies and procedures.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Test Leads to coordinate, implement and execute software testing of the systems and solutions used by Our Partner.
• Create detailed test cases, execute manual and automated tests, document results and manage defects.
• Provide support, assistance and consultancy to other departments within Our Partner.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently and support team members.
• Contribute to the implementation and monitor use of test automation and testing best practices.
• Liaise with R&D and or Project/Product Management to prioritise, resolve and manage defects.
• Coordinate with tech leads and developers working on related deliverables.
• Communicate development ideas and improvements through presentations, demonstrations and specifications.
• Provide input into Quality Assurance Team and proactively recommend changes in policies and procedures.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Strong experience in quality management systems and processes in an agile environment.
• Has experience working in Azure DevOps (or equivalent) - Knows how to use all functions throughout the entire application.
• Can create custom test environments and understands the concepts of Virtual Machines.
• Must have experience in automation testing tools like Selenium with C#.
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter) is a must.
• Must have work experience with functional API testing.
• Experience in Visual Studio (or equivalent) is desirable.
• SQL - Fully understands relational databases and is competent at the administration of Microsoft SQL Server.
• The whole Microsoft Office Suite makes full use of the applications for reporting, tracking and day to day projects.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong testing experience - ISTQB/ISEB Certification is desirable
• Basic programming language knowledge and understanding of SDLC processes waterfall, Agile, QA methodologies and tools.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Naturally inquisitive and passionate about exploratory testing, with strong attention to detail.
