As a Software Developer, you will contribute to developing our industry-leading banking solutions. As a Software Developer, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our fintech platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the banking sector.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using C# and .NET framework
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services
• Implement APIs and web services for open banking initiatives and payment projects
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft UK regulations and industry best practices for data security and privacy
• Optimise system performance and scalability to handle large volumes of transactions
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely resolution to technical challenges
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile development activities
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in banking and fintech

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• 3+ years of  experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in the banking or fintech industry
• 3+ years of experience in C# and .NET framework, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL database design and optimisation.
• Experience with cloud is a must, - preferably MS Azure (AWS or GCP)
• Prior experience with service-based architecture and experience designing and implementing scalable and secure microservices is desirable.
• Experience with Open banking APIs, Payment gateways, and financial protocols (e.g., PSD2, SWIFT)
• Good to have familiarity with Microsoft UK regulations, data protection laws, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
